3 Monster details in A Quiet Place 2!

A Quiet Place has some of the most horrific and brilliant monsters of the last decade. But in this day and age of CG, one issue has become problematic for filmmakers; the audience is fantastic at spotting computer graphics. So now what really separates the good graphics from the seamless integration of your monsters are the smallest of details.

1:Reflections:

This moment is incredible and filled with tension but, if the reflection in the glass wasn't there then it would have just looked wrong. Blink, and you will miss it… but it is there!

2. The monster blows through the wall:

This moment in the same scene may focus on the male character who just got gouged by the monster. However, they didn't just settle for sub-par graphic… no no no!

The sparks that pour onto the monster (OUT OF FOCUS, MAY I ADD) don’t just light up the monster, but they also bounce off its body as well, further selling that the monster really is alive in the space.

3. It is only logical - monsters that rely on sound would also have a very unique sound themselves. It would be easy to stop there with a brilliantly distinctive sound, but it is the way in which the sound has been mixed, blending into the world that makes it so believable. Quite often monster sounds such as growls and gurgles are so over-amped, made far too loud and overbearing that they no longer seem to be emanating from the same space as your characters. However, it is this detail that adds so much believability to this monster.
